Big Air is a family-owned Fort Myers HVAC company. The owner, Joseph, is an engineer by training, and he started Big Air to build the air conditioning company he could not find — a good office, technicians who do the work correctly, and proof on every job.
The Story Behind Big Air
An engineer who'd rather make things work than sit behind a desk.
Joseph studied math and electrical engineering at Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio. He came home to Fort Myers during COVID and realized the desk-and-office career his degree pointed toward was not what he wanted — he would rather work with his hands and actually make things work. So he stayed, and went into air conditioning.
What he kept running into in the trade was a gap: plenty of guys who could swap a part, but few who could explain the why behind it. Joseph set out to build a more knowledgeable kind of AC company — one that brings an engineer's rigor to a trade that too often runs on guesswork, and treats homeowners like people who deserve a straight, informed answer.
So that is what Big Air is — a genuinely good office where a real person answers the phone, technicians who do the job the right way, and proof on every visit: photos and instrument readings that show you what we found and what we did, saved to your invoice.
